FIRST TIME FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS

Switching to vegan food should be done gradually. Thanks to their fibrous texture, the chunks are appealing even to picky eaters, making the switch easier.

There are two ways of doing that:

Option 1. Start by adding vegan food to the old product, to which your pet is already accustomed: 1 part vegan food, 4 parts old product. Then, during the following one or two weeks, gradually increase the proportion of vegan food. At the end of the transition, you should not be adding the old product.

Option 2. Begin by adding 2 tablespoons of creamed corn, vegetable oil, or flaked nutritional yeast to each cup of canned food. This helps ease the transition to a new diet. Over the next 1–2 weeks, gradually decrease the amount of added ingredients. Most pets comfortably adapt to the natural flavour of vegan food within this timeframe.

CAUTION: If the switch is not done gradually, there is a small chance that pets may vomit or get diarrhea.

TIP
Although not necessary, you can add fresh, raw veggies to optimize your pet’s diet.

It can be kept in the refrigerator for 2 days after opening.
