Most retailers offer canned food in a pack of 12 cans and for the first time buyers it can be a substantial risk, since the pet may not like the new cans.

Packaging & Storage

Vegan moist food for dogs comes in 2 types of packaging: cans and trays.

Tin cans are the most common type of packaging, but they are prone to bending and deform easily during shipping, whereas plastic trays don't get bent up.

We take care to protect the cans using recycled packing materials, but during transport, boxes can be jostled, and cans may get dented. A few dents are not a problem - as long as there’s no puncture and the contents remain sterilized, the can is safe to use. However, if a can is punctured, it should be discarded.

Moist food should be stored in a dark, cool place.

After opening, put into an airtight container; can be stored in the fridge up to 3 days. It can also be portioned out and frozen for later use or served as a frosty treat!
