VegeDog™ is a supplement used by caretakers to cook nutritionally complete homemade meals for their dogs.

Adding VegeDog™ ensures your dog's diet includes all essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients for optimal health. VegeDog™ supplies several hard-to-find nutrients that dogs require, all derived from vegan sources:

  • L-Carnitine, Niacin, Thiamine, Pantothenic Acid, and Vitamin B6 to support energy metabolism, heart health, and overall wellness
  • Vitamin A – while many mammals can convert carotene from vegetables into Vitamin A, dogs have a limited ability to do so consistently. VegeDog™ ensures a reliable supply.
  • Vitamin D – VegeDog™ provides a fully plant-based alternative.
  • Taurine content doubled for improved cardiac and ocular support
  • Higher Methionine level for better amino acid balance
  • Selenium Yeast for improved bioavailability and more efficient absorption

Together, these nutrients help support overall health and make it easier to maintain a balanced, vegan diet for dogs. For many years, VegeDog™ has been trusted by compassionate caretakers around the world to support healthy, plant-based diets for their dogs.

*Note: Dogs with yeast intolerance should use this formula with caution (Selenium Yeast content: 5.4 mg per 1 g of VegeDog™).

Why prepare homemade dog food with VegeDog™?

1. Complete and balanced nutrition

With VegeDog™, your dog receives a diet that is nutritionally complete when used in the provided recipes. Without supplementation, homemade dog food may lack essential nutrients such as Taurine, Vitamin D, Vitamin A, and Arachidonic Acid, nutrients that are difficult to supply consistently without a supplement.

2. Full control over ingredients

Homemade meals allow you to choose ingredients your dog enjoys and avoid those they don’t. Examples:

  • Include: sweet potatoes, green peas
  • Exclude: corn, wheat

3. Variety

Homemade cooking lets you offer different flavours and ingredients, keeping meals exciting and encouraging a good appetite while providing balanced nutrition. See Recipes section below.

4. Cost-effective

Preparing dog food at home and supplementing with VegeDog™ is an affordable feeding option. One bottle lasts a long time and can be more economical than the commercial kibble options. See Duration section below.
