RECIPES
Use the kibble recipe (in the Vegepup instructions) to make delicious kibble. Cut kibble pieces larger or smaller according to the size of your dog. You can certainly have your recipes, but do ensure you add enough Vegepup™ (see amounts below).
FEEDING AMOUNTS
The amount of VegePup varies with each recipe. See the recipe brochure for the amount of VegePup™ powder to be added.
If you have your recipe, then you can use the following guide for daily serving amount.
Weight.......0-4 months..........4-12 months
1.4kg............¾ tsp (4g).............½ tsp (2.8g)
2.3kg...........1¼ tsp (6g)............¾ tsp (4g)
4.5kg...........2 tsp (10g)............ 1-1¼ tsp (6.5g)
6.8kg...........2½ tsp (13g)..........1¾ tsp (9g)
9.1kg...........3¼ tsp (16g)..........2¼ tsp (11g)
11.3kg........1-½ tbsp (20g)......2-½ tsp (13g)
13.6kg........1-½ tbsp (23g)......1 tbsp (15g)
18.1kg........2 tbsp (28g)............1-¼ tbsp (18g)
22.7kg........2-¼ tbsp (33g)......1-½ tbsp (22g)
- For dogs over 50 lb: Add ⅔ tsp (3g) Vegepup for every additional 10 lb.
- 1 teaspoon = 5g
- 1 tablespoon = 15g
Duration
The amount varies a great deal depending on age, weight, recipe ingredients, and more.
- Find out how many calories your puppy needs using this calorie calculator
- If you follow recipes, for every 1000 calories of homemade food, use 16 grams of Vegepup
- Divide 400g (bottle weight) by your daily usage to estimate how long it lasts
Example:
- If your puppy eats 500 calories/day, you’d need 8g of Vegepup daily, so the 400g bottle would last ~50 days.
- If your puppy eats 1500 calories/day, you’d need 24g daily, so the 400g bottle would last ~16.5 days.
